Welcome!
I would like to thank for your interest in joining Circle K International at Wayne State University.
Circle K International is the world’s largest student led collegiate service organization and our chapter here at Wayne State focuses on serving the metro Detroit community. Our service projects center around the four themes of: Blight and Environment, Education, Hunger and Homelessness, and Health and Medicine. In the past, we have volunteered with organizations such as the Children’s Center, Gleaner’s Food Bank, World Medical Relief, Back Alley Bikes, The Color Run Detroit, Detroit Rescue Mission and Arts and Scraps and many of these organizations are now are long term partners. We encourage members to share with us their favorite service organizations, so we can partner with them as well!
Students are always looking to become involved with leadership at the organizational level. Circle K offers numerous leadership opportunities including committee and chair positions for committees you may be passionate about such as Fundraising, Service and Public Relations. Every member has the potential to serve as a leader, whether it is by holding a position, helping set up a service event or even simply volunteering to drive to service events.
So thank you again for your interest in joining our organization and be on the lookout for upcoming service and social events. I highly encourage everyone to get involved not only at the club level but also in District events such as Fall Rally in October and DCON in March. This is a great way to meet other Circle K’ers from across Michigan!! Looking forward to a great year of helping others and having fun while doing it!! Live to Serve, Love to Serve :)
Yours faithfully,
Sanaya Irani
WSU Circle K President, 2017-2018
